This golden milk smoothie bowl is a creamy, dreamy breakfast. Made with frozen mango and banana for a thick, fluffy texture which goes perfectly with our creamy mango whey protein. Adding fresh ginger, turmeric, black pepper, cinnamon and cardamom brings the flavour of haldi doodh (i.e. turmeric milk/golden milk) to this fragrant, healthy breakfast recipe.
Blend together the whey protein, yogurt, ginger, turmeric, black pepper, cinnamon and cardamom seeds until smooth. Set aside for 10 minutes so the flavour of the spices can infuse the mixture properly.
Add the frozen mango and frozen banana and blitz until thick and creamy. Scrape into a bowl and top with your desired fruit and nuts
If you’d like to have this as a smoothie instead of a smoothie bowl, just add a splash of milk to the blender for a thinner texture.
