You will need

200 ml water
50 g freshly squeezed lime juice
50 g freshly squeezed orange juice
1 pinch matcha powder, optional
30 g foodspring lemonade clear whey
100 g ice cubes
sprinkle of salt (preferably flaky)

Frozen Virgin Margaritas (High Protein)

What’s better on a hot day then a cooling frozen virgin margarita made high-protein using our lemonade clear whey protein! The clear whey provides a sweet-sour lemony base to which we add lime juice for tang, orange juice for sweetness and matcha powder for an earthy brightness. Blended with ice cubes for that classic frozen cocktail vibe, minus the alcohol!  

Preparation

  • Combine the water, lime juice, orange juice and matcha powder in the jug of a blender. Add the clearwhey and ice then blitz until fully combined.
  • Run one of the squeezed lime halves around the rim of a margarita glass. Sprinkle some salt (I like flaky salt) onto a plate and dip the rim of the glass into the salt so it sticks.
  • Fill the glass with the frozen margarita mixture and serve immediately.
  • Enjoy!
If you want to make it boozy, add 1-2 shots of your favourite reposado tequila to the mix.
